Mistletoe injection therapy

Mistletoe injection therapy is an alternative and complementary approach to oncology, based on the use of mistletoe extract (Viscum album). As a medicinal plant, mistletoe is recognised for its immunomodulatory and cytotoxic properties, which are particularly relevant in the context of cancer.

Action of mistletoe injections

The active components of mistletoe, notably lectins and viscotoxins, stimulate the immune system and also have a direct cytotoxic action on cancer cells. In addition, mistletoe appears to inhibit angiogenesis, a process that allows tumours to feed and grow. Together, these three mechanisms help to slow tumour growth and strengthen the body's natural defences against cancer.

Course of sessions

Mistletoe injections are administered subcutaneously. The treatment is generally well tolerated. The doses and frequency of injections are adapted individually for each patient, depending on response to treatment and general state of health.

Advantages of mistletoe injection therapy

In addition to its direct action against cancer cells, mistletoe injection therapy can improve patients' quality of life by alleviating the side effects of conventional cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Studies have shown that patients receiving mistletoe injections report less fatigue, a better appetite and an improved general condition.

Mistletoe injection therapy offers a complementary approach to conventional cancer treatment, tackling both the disease and improving patients' well-being. It fits in well with our holistic approach to cancer treatment, which aims not only to fight the disease, but also to support the patient's body and mind.
